Just awesome. A benchmark to evaluate and see if the Q ever slowed down towards the end; ‘no’s the short answer; they pulled a Seinfeld and quit while on top.
Just listen to their Other One rage, a good example of how shortish running times can be deceptive...all the Dark Star stuff is as lovely as you please, but of course the big news is I am the Walrus (stfu, Donnie...)
That one is quite hard to recreate live, Haynes & co manage, and drive the thing pretty hard.
I’m at a point where I’m happy to absorb as many Q shows as I can. So we look and discern. I’m not the biggest fan of some of Warrens standalone songs (patchwork, that midnight train-whatever), but why carp?

The Best of the three night run in my opinion. The band was over the flu and feelin good. The first set is very well played and super tight. The quality of the recording is just fine with me. All members and instruments sound perfect in this recording. Phil is loud and clear too!!! Well worth the trip out of snowy Northern Vermont for these shows. Thanks to all the other Vermont Heads who know how to throw down and rage a Phil show in the orpheum!
